Workforce remodelling has expanded the role of school bursars. With teachers freed from administrative tasks, and leadership teams taking on new challenges, bursars play a key role in managing school resources.

Support staff in your school can gain the necessary skills and qualifications to become a bursar by studying for a Certificate or Diploma of School Business Management. Funding is available for 1,400 people to train for these programmes through the National College of School Leadership (NCSL). See the NCSL website for further details.
